Post-it Portraits of Peckham
Jenna Blomeyer
In Jenna's piece 'Post-it Portraits of Peckham', the community was asked to contribute to a collective portrait. Using the post-it note as a metaphor for the heteronormative ideal, the community was asked to define how they self identified. Questioning how they feel about Peckham, does their identity shift in different spaces? The post-it note available for transformation through drawing, collaging, reconfiguring, ripping, sticking, folding or sculpting. Through challenging the set binaries of gender narratives, Jenna hoped to collectively bind and piece together fragments of thought to learn about our individual and collective ideas of gender.
