Exploring the Built Environment
Michael Kelspa
Architecture is the art of designing and constructing buildings. I am mainly interested in this because I'm intrigued about the whole idea that human imagination and emotion can have a true effect on the environment around us. My workshop focused on finding out how different people's emotions and ideas can change the space around us by contributing to a shared design. I wanted to explore through architecture how a person or group of people can create something that evokes different emotions or ideas. How something as simple as an inanimate everyday object, such as a cardboard box, can be transformed into something meaningful and reinterpret the spaces we inhabit.
